Chocolate Treasures is located in Northeast Ohio (North Ridgeville).   We ship USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation unless asked for an alternate shipping method.  We carefully package and bubblewrap all of our orders, but we cannot be held responsible for damage during transit and recommend purchasing insurance for some of the more fragile items.  During summer months we highly recommend that you purchase ice packs for all orders.  One ice pack per pound is a general rule of thumb.  We also have thermal coolers available.  Chocolate begins to soften at approximately 85 degrees and will start to melt at 90 degrees so please take that into consideration when ordering.  Ice packs and thermal coolers only delay the softening and melting process so please make sure you or someone is available to accept your package or have it delivered to a location where someone will be able to accept it.  If it is left out in extreme heat, ice packs and coolers will not prevent it from melting.  Postal insurance does not cover melting, only damage or breakage.  In cases of extreme heat, we reserve the right to enforce express mail or to decline a purchase.  This is for everyone's protection so that there is not disappointment should your item(s) be received melted.   Melted chocolate can be placed in the refrigerator or freezer and it does not affect the taste, however you may loose the shape or decoration.  We strive for 100% customer satisfaction and this is why we reserve the right to decline a sale in cases of extreme heat.  We do hope you understand.

Refund Policy-Due to the time sensitivity of candy, we generally do not offer refunds.  If we have misrepresented an item or have not made it to your specifications, we will gladly refund you the purchase price (minus S&H) once the remainder of the candy is returned back to us.
